Critics misunderstand Heller’s gun-law actions

I am very disappointed in the amount of antagonism directed at Sen. Dean Heller regarding his stand on gun legislation in the Senate. The truth is that Sen. Heller should be thanked by all Nevadans for standing up for common sense and all of our Constitutional rights. I have known him for many years, and if there is one thing he is adamant about it is open and transparent government on all levels.

His vote for cloture (people should look up what that really means) to support moving forward was merely to explore ways to keep guns out of the hands of felons and the mentally ill. He was simply giving all of us the opportunity to understand the bill and learn where every senator stood.

Ultimately, Sen. Heller voted against the Manchin-Toomey gun bill because it would infringe upon Nevadans’ Constitutional rights to keep and bear arms and would have left the door wide open for the creation of a national gun registry. Sen. Heller’s approach was the right thing to do. In the end, he stood proud for the Silver State and I am glad to call him my senator.

People carry the spirits of both genders inside

Having been in the creative world for some time, I’ve been around gays and lesbians. (Our world would be a sorry grey thing without their creativity and spirit.) So here’s my take on what seems to concern some people.

The current concept is that this isn’t a marriage between a man and a woman, but actually, it is. Each partner has the spirit of either the man or the woman. It seems reasonable to consider that God, in His compassionate love for us all, made sure everyone had a chance to go through life with a partner, without loneliness.

There is gay/lesbian behavior throughout the animal kingdom (e.g. birds, mammals, lizards), but their groups are copacetic with mate choices. Which is quite often for life. Possibly God knows what He’s doing. Compassion seems to have fallen off in the last decades; perhaps it’s time to embrace it again as it was taught a few thousand years ago. Maybe compassion, or the lack thereof, is just a big, giant test.

Now a deeper understanding of gay/lesbian partnerships is needed. To realize they do carry the male or female spirit within themselves. The compassion is needed this way: to hope a group of people are not denied legalized companionship throughout life because of some people misunderstanding the bigger picture. The rest of the animal kingdom understands this without difficulty.

IRS director’s actions remind of Nuremberg

Invoking the Fifth Amendment of our Constitution proves conclusively that Lois Lerner (Director of the IRS) has something to hide, reminiscent to the trials of the WWII war criminals in Nuremberg, Germany and how they considered themselves innocent of any wrongdoings because they were only following the orders of their superiors. If anyone is guilty of singling out Conservatives for additional scrutiny, it is President Obama.

It’s a shame they didn’t allow her immunity. Maybe then they might have gotten at the truth. I would recommend that in order to rid ourself of the dishonesty prevalent in our government these days, we vote to get a majority of Republicans in our Senate in 2014 so that we can impeach Obama before he does any more harm.

As far as I am concerned, he is guilty of leaving all our embassies in harms way and leaving another stooge, Hillary Clinton, to take the blame. I’m sure she might have been considering to run for president in 2016, and this scandal won’t help her any. Wake up America before it’s too late.
