Another cannonball has been found in Carson City, this one at the city’s shooting range.
Bomb squads from Fallon Naval Air Station and Douglas County were sent to pick it up, Sheriff Ken Furlong said. It’s the second cannonball in as many days reported in Nevada’s capital.
On Monday, a Civil War-era cannonball was being sold at a garage sale, but the owner called authorities after someone suggested it might be dangerous.
The bomb squad from the Naval station was called in to check it out and determined it was safe.
