St. Peter’s Episcopal Church: The frame, roof and sideboards of the new extension of the Episcopal church are up. It will now be quite a commodious structure, quite cathedral. This is money well expended. The Sunday school is so large as to constantly require the full limits of the extension. The Gothic window frames are constructed and going into place, but why has it never entered the heart of priest or layman to build a decent bridge across the watercourse at the street corner there?

All sorts: Sarah Winnemucca is lecturing on her own people in Philadelphia to crowded houses. She is chaperoned by a couple of fossilized Vassar “girls.”

Firehouse: A new firehouse is under construction in the northwestern part of town, near the old ball ground. It is within 120 feet of a hydrant and should prove to be a successful location.
