Commissioners meet today in chambers

The second County Commission meeting of November will be conducted today at 1:15 p.m. at the Churchill County Administration Building chambers, 155 N. Taylor St.

Among the items commissioners will consider are the following:

Consideration and possible action: Update of current activities, plans, or actions related to the Carson City District of the Bureau of Land Management.

Consideration and possible action: School bus lease renewal with the Churchill County School District for the 2014 Ski Program.

Consideration and possible action: Approval of agreement to allow the Lahontan Valley Bird Dog Club to use country-owned water to irrigate 322 acres of Navy-owned property.

Consideration and possible action: Emergency Food and Shelter Grant Acceptance.

Consideration and possible action: Community Development Block Grant Application presentation for fiscal year 2015.

Consideration and possible action: The Bureau of Land Management requests notification of desire to remain on the mailing list for grazing related issues.

Consideration and possible action: The Churchill Animal Protection Society requests the second quarterly installment of $5,000 of the $20,000 allocated for FY 2013-2014.

Old business

Consideration and possible action: Revisions to the contract between Churchill County and SPB Utility Services, Inc.

New business

Consideration and possible action: Appointment of Glen Wassmuth to the Northern Nevada Development Authority (NNDA) Board.
