Nurse of the Year

Banner Churchill Community Hospital congratulates Chris Webb, RN, who was recently selected as Nurse of the Year from the Emergency Physician Insurance Program, also known as EPIP.

Webb works as a registered nurse and Emergency Department senior manager at Banner Churchill and has been with Banner Health for 15 years.

Webb’s recognition reflects goals and initiatives that aligned with EPIP quality measures, ideals and vision. She was highly involved in partnering with EPIP to survey quality and process components that have enhanced efficiencies within Banner Churchill’s Emergency Department.

The EPIP is a unique partnership between physician groups and Banner Health that work together to improve patient safety and overall risk.

“We’re so proud of Chris and her stellar accomplishments,” said Rob Carnahan, RN, chief nursing officer of Banner Churchill. “This award highlights her commitment to patient safety but more importantly, it recognizes her tireless efforts to enhance the high quality of care we’ve been able to deliver to our patients.”

Webb worked closely with an assessment team that conceived and implemented several patient-care improvement processes including immediate bedside registration, splinting education for techs and new furniture in the continuing care area of the emergency department
