Carson City’s Tractor Supply opens to the public at 8 a.m. today, but some shoppers got a sneak preview during a soft opening Friday evening.
Manager Patrick Henley stood near the front door, greeting new arrivals and answering questions. He’s a new arrival himself, having arrived in Carson City from Fresno about six weeks ago.
Tractor Supply Co. sent Henley and Luke Schnoor, his assistant manager, here to open Carson’s store. He said he’s pleased with the area so far.
“I like the high desert climate and culture,” Henley said.
His store is Nevada’s first Tractor Supply. The company operates nearly 1,200 stores in 45 states under the names Tractor Supply and Del’s Feed & Farm Supply.
Carson’s store is at 2035 E. William St. It’s open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
