The Fallon boys tennis team was nipped by South Tahoe last week, while the Lady Wave came up short against the Division I-A powerhouse.

In Fallon on Thursday, the boys lost 10-8, although the No.1 and 2 doubles teams of Ty Wood and Martin Beyer and Garrett Kalt and Adam Wadsworth were perfect.

The two doubles teams went 6-0 on the day, while Joe Jamieson and Jumel Villacarlos went 2-1. For the second consecutive match, no Fallon singles player won a match.

Wood and Meyer again breezed through the competition as the Fallon juniors lost only three games in three matches. Kalt and Wadsworth won each match 6-2 and continued their impressive start to the season.

On the girls court, the Lady Wave were led by No. 1 singles standout Becky Conner, who recorded two wins. Conner blasted her way past Lissie Stewart, 6-1, and dropped Kylee Lyans by the same score.

Debra Beyer added a 7-5 win over Stewart, while the doubles tandem Lindsey Golding and Kayla Bekaires and Kali Strong and Jenner Spencer each nabbed a victory.

The teams played Incline on Tuesday, but results were not available at press time.
