Oct. 8, 1941 - July 24, 2014

Heinz Robert Doring passed into the Lord’s presence on July 24th, 2014 following a 6 year battle with cancer. Heinz was born October 8th, 1941 in Hamburg, Germany to Robert and Erna Doring. He was the youngest of 6 children. While in Germany, he completed his education and trade school and proudly served 4 years in the German army. Heinz immigrated to the United States in 1968, and would become a proud citizen in 1995. He settled in Southern California where he met and married Jose Hendrikx in 1969. The two then relocated to Carson City, Nevada in 1972 to raise their family. Heinz was a tool and die maker by trade, and he worked in the industry throughout his life owning his own business, Creative Manufacturing, for the past 17 years. Heinz was involved in the Nevada Manufacturing Association, the Sunset Rotary Club, and the Northern Nevada Chapter of Packards International. Heinz loved to invent, build, socialize, travel, and go camping in his RV. He was a wonderful family man. He leaves behind his loving wife Jose, two daughters and sons-in-law, Petra and Sean Sever and Erika and Fred Williams, five grandchildren, Sarah, Zachary, and Noah Sever, and Kenna and Hayley Williams, in addition to many dear extended family and friends. A Celebration of his Life will be held at Hilltop Community Church in Carson City, Nevada on Saturday August 9th, 2014 at 11am with a reception to follow.
