Save Mart Supermarkets, exclusive grocery sponsor of Hot August Nights, presented the nine finalists of their Groceries for a Year contest with grocery bags filled with Hot August Nights sponsor products on the main stage at the Grand Sierra Resort last Saturday evening. The finalists represented each Save Mart store from Nevada.
Save Mart’s President and COO, Steve Junqueiro and Save Mart’s General Manager, Randy Slentz had each finalist find and open the envelope inside their grocery bag to reveal the grand prize winner. Clarence Haase from Reno won the prize of groceries for a year valued at $5,200. The remaining contest finalists received a $100 gift card along with their grocery bag.
The remaining eight finalists are: Melvin Rodela, Carson City; Katie Nelson, Carson City; Marilyn Griffin, Carson City; Travis Polon, Reno; Leah Arenbela, Reno; Bob Winder, Sun Valley; Kathi Campbell, Reno; Shirlene Larsen, Sparks.
