The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
At 8:14 a.m., a 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of speeding (16-20 over), no valid driver’s license, no seat belt and obstructed windshield, all misdemeanors. He was arrested after a traffic stop in the 1900 block of William Street. Bail was set at $468.
At 1:07 p.m., Edwin S. Scrivner, 56, was arrested on suspicion of felony domestic battery causing substantial body harm. The victim was diagnosed with a broken rib. Bail was set at $15,000.
At 8:05 a.m., Donald Lawless, 32, of Mendota, Calif., was arrested on suspicion of embezzlement. He was brought to the Carson City Jail by the Nevada Department of Corrections. Bail was set at $7,500.
At 11:52 a.m., Randy L. Baker, 45, of Reno, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and aiming a firearm at another person, after a traffic stop by the Nevada Highway Patrol in Reno. Baker was followed by Carson City deputies before initiating the stop. The reporting party said Baker and the victim were involved in a road rage incident from Gardnerville. According to the arrest report, the victim approached Baker’s car at a stop light when Baker allegedly brandished a weapon. Bail was set at $7,500.
At 10:29 p.m., Nathan Kuzma, 39, of Reno, was arrested on suspicion of probation violation. He admitted he violated his probation by visiting a casino. He was arrested after a traffic stop for only one working headlight. No bail was set.
At 10:23 a.m., a 51-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at the corner of Roop Street and Basque Way on suspicion of driving under the influence and failure to maintain a lane. Bail was set at $1,249.
At 11:31 a.m., a 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 800 block of College Parkway on suspicion of possession of marijuana and failure to maintain a lane. Bail was set at $824.
At 8:10 p.m., a 27-year-old Sparks woman was arrested in the 4000 block of Quinn Drive on suspicion of hit and run of an unoccupied vehicle, driving on a suspended license and child endangerment. Bail was set at $3,637.
At 3:15 p.m., Madison Ray McGlynn, 22, was arrested in the 2200 block of East Long Street on suspicion of a felony burglary warrant, and misdemeanor warrants for contempt and failure to appear. Bail was set at 20,687 cash.
The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes.
