Dolores “Amanda” Gamez passed away on Friday November 21, 2014, she was 63 years old. Amanda, as she preferred to be called, was born in Auburn, CA to Amador and Lydia V. Osorio. She was known to everyone as either Sister Manda, Aunt Manda, Gu’u or Manda Bear, Big Sasa, or Yaht. She was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin and friend. Amanda is survived by her companion, Brad James of Gardnerville, NV, three children, Michelle Kinney of Carson City NV, Ernesto Serrano of Portland OR, and Joseph Serrano of Gardnerville NV. Step daughter Sylvia Kinney of Hungry Valley and daughters-in-law, Tammy Kay Cary and Andrea Foreman of CA. She leaves behind her grandchildren; Cloud Mitchell, Jonathan and Antoinette Thayer, Shane and Cheyenne Kinney, Rozlyn De Leon, and Nova Ann Serrano, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members through out Nevada and California. She is also survived by her sisters; Doria Suarez of Colfax CA, Josephine Astor of Reno NV, Marie Moreno of Sacramento CA, Virginia Munoz of Colfax CA, Dorothy McCloud of Carson City NV, Ann Kochamp of Colfax CA, Adelina Osorio of Markleeville, CA, brothers Eugene Osorio of Carson City NV and Ernesto Osorio of Alix AK. Amanda is preceded in death by her parents Amador, Lydia and her son Sam Kinney III. In following with Amanda’s final wishes, there will be a private family viewing on Saturday, November 29 in Gardnerville from 11 am to 1 pm. A dinner will follow from 1:30pm-5 pm at the Stewart Community Center, located at 465 Clear Creek Ave, in Carson City. Food donations for the dinner would be greatly appreciated.
