Andres Avelino Patino Cardenas, age 96, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 in Reno, Nevada. He was born November 10, 1918 in Arequipa, Peru to Gregorio Ramirez and Felipa Flores. He grew up in Lima, Peru and moved to Fallon, Nevada in 1997, where he resided with his daughter’s family (Eric and Lola Stubbs Family). He married Trinidad Lola Taco Romero on March 20, 1948 and was sealed for Time and Eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 20, 1973. He was retired from Peruvian Navy where he served for 35 years. He was a member of the LDS Church, 4th ward and Spanish Branch. He served in many capacities, but his favorite was missionary work--sharing the message of Jesus Christ. He is survived by his children, Martha Burke, Walter Patino, and Lola Stubbs, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 from 5:30 - 7:30pm at the Smith Family Funeral Home, 505 Rio Vista Dr. in Fallon. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Tolas Street LDS Church in Fallon. Burial will be later in Yakima, Washington by the side of his dear wife.
