On February 20th 2014, Richard “Rich” Jack Walker passed doing what he loved, enjoying God’s great Outdoors, running and watching the sun come up. His strong faith in his Lord Jesus Christ was the most important part of starting his day. His two great loves were his Heavenly Father and his wife, Cindy “Cookie”, of 29 years. Rich worked 24 years at NDOT, in Carson City, NV as a fleet service associate and later he became the supervisor. He ran a very tight ship, respectfully. He believed in working hard to achieve perfection. It showed in the home he provided for Cindy and himself. They had no children but respect, honesty and a deep love for one another was shown every moment of their lives. At 62 Rich was strong and walked tall. Retirement was short only 3 years but his hobbies and his freedom to do what he wanted, without having to worry about watching a clock gave him great joy.

The most important job he had was saving souls. He feared for those who went home before him who did not except Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. He did not fear death. When the gates opened for his homecoming His Heavenly Father welcomed him home. He will be missed. A Memorial Service will be Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Hilltop Community Church, 3616 N. Sunridge Dr. Carson City. Walton’s Chapel of the Valley is in charge of his final arrangements.
