The Brilliant Lights. At the crossing of Maine and Second streets a new light has been installed. It is the newest type Mazda lamp, only two of this style being received at San Francisco. One is in use by the Verdi Lumber Co. in their Verdi yard and Mr. Crehore got the other. In fact he ordered five but one was all that could be supplied at the present. For a few days the lamp was on exhibition in the city hall where it attracted considerable attention.

Churchill CCC Camps All Given High Ratings. All three of the Churchill County CCC Camps, Newlands and Carson River at Fallon and Westgate, east of here, have been given excellent ratings following the visit here Tuesday of Captain Paul Kendall, district inspector.

Wedding Secret Revealed. News of a wedding that took place at Minden on January 1 of this year was revealed to friends of the couple here this week when it became known that Miss Ruth Hutchinson and Martyn Summerbell had been wed on that date by the justice of the peace there with the brother and sister of the bride as their attendants.

Sunshine Girls Hold Meeting.The first meeting of the Pythian Sunshine Girls for the month of January was held on Jan. 9 at 7:00 pm at the Artemisia Hall. Pat Kearns acting as Royal Princess called the meeting to order in the absence of Mary Adams. Those present were Josephine Boren, Ethelyn Coverston. Laurie Gill, Pat Kearns, Donna Miles, Maye Pardick, Jana Rodriques, Anna Shockley, Marilyn Smelser, Sandra Truman, and Elva Weaver. Anna Shockley was elected as press correspondent. A committee of three, Marilyn Smelser, Donna Miles, and Pat Kearns was appointed to make plans for a possible cake sale in the near future. The next meeting will be held Jan. 24 at 7:00
