Sept. 4, 1943 - Dec 29, 2013

Ronald P. Zuti, 70, of Silver Springs, Nevada, passed away peacefully on December 29. Ron was born in Youngstown, Ohio to Albert and Margaret (Toth) Zuti. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and attended Youngstown State and Wright State Universities. He was an avid recreational pilot and a member of the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Dept. Motorcycle Reserve. Ron is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lee, his sister, Marlene Lawrence, of Waxhaw, NC and daughter Rhonda and her husband, Glenn Hough, of Carson City, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brother-in-Law, David Lawrence, and Sister-in-Law, Peggy Fox. Ron was a member of the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam 1965 - 1968. He and his family scouted much of the west by motorcycle and moved to the Carson City area in 1978 to further his career in broadcasting. After his second career ended in retirement, Ron found his gypsy blood yearning for the road again. Ron started his own trucking operation and he and Lee saw much of the eleven western states they served. Ron was passionate about many things in life, and ones he shared freely with his close friends were good music and books. He enjoyed flying his ultra lite airplane and adored the perspective of discovery from the air.Ron’s family invites you to join them for a “Celebration of Life” on Saturday, January 25th, 2014 at 12:00 Noon in the Silver Springs Senior Center, 2945 Ft. Churchill Road, Silver Springs, Nevada. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to your favorite charity, a good Cognac and a book that makes you think.
