The Carson Blue Jays baseball team rallied from a tough loss earlier in the day for a come-from-behind 7-6 win over the Reno Knights B team on Saturday at Damante Ranch High School.

Kyle Krebs completed the comeback when he walked to force home Joe Nelson with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Cody Azevedo was the winning pitcher in relief for Carson, allowing no earned runs on one hit while striking out one and walking one over the final three innings.

The Blue Jays trailed 5-0 and 6-2 going into the bottom of the sixth. But Carson scored three runs in the sixth and two runs in the seventh to rally for the win.

Jesse Lopez helped spark the rally for Carson with hits in the fifth and sixth innings. He went 2-for-3 with two runs and two stolen bases. Conner Pradere doubled twice with an RBI, Krebs went 1-for-1 with two RBI and Josiah Pongasi, Terek Been and John Hilton all added a hit for the Blue Jays.

Earlier in the day at Wooster, Carson lost to Nor Cal 11-0.

Seamus Burns had a solid effort on the mound in relief, striking out four over 3 1/3 innings. He allowed three earned runs on seven hits while walking two.

Nor Cal jumped out to a 3-0 lead on the strength of two singles in the first inning and never looked back. The Blue Jays could only muster two hits, with Burns and Azevedo each picking up a hit for Carson.
