A train had been heading from Chicago to Lathrop, Calif., when it struck the person.

Train traffic resumed a little after 4 a.m.

The second crash happened at about 6:15 a.m. at the Logan Road crossing in Fernley. A train that was heading from Oakland, Calif., to Chicago was involved.

Train traffic resumed a little before 11 a.m.
