On July 1, Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar franchises began supporting the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s fight against childhood cancer for the 10th straight year. A record $756,000 was raised in 2013, bringing the total raised to $4 million. The goal is to top $5 million this year.

As part of Applebee’s Serves program, participating restaurants, including the Applebee’s on South Carson Street, will raise funds in support of ALSF. Fundraising efforts, which vary by restaurant, include donating a portion of each lemonade sale (all varieties) through the restaurants’ Summer Squeeze promotion.

Applebee’s guests may also have the chance to donate to ALSF through the purchase of a paper lemon.

Additionally, Applebee’s restaurants will host a variety of events, including lemonade stands, golf outings, donation nights and more. Those interested are encouraged to contact their local Applebee’s restaurant for location-specific information and event details.
