Another rough game for Carson All-Stars

Northern California jumped out to an early lead on the Carson Intermediate All-Stars and captured a 13-0 victory on Friday at the Little League Western Regionals in Nogales, Ariz.

It’s bee a tough tournament so far for Carson, which fell to 0-2 after being routed by host Nogales in its opener on Thursday.

The game was decided quickly as Northern California exerted its will early with eight runs in the first three innings.

An RBI triple by Jackson Slaughter, an RBI double by James Nabers, and an RBI double by Nathan Hansen during the first inning and an RBI triple by Slaughter in the second inning supplied the early offense for Northern California.

Slaughter racked up three RBI on three hits for Northern California.

Blake Menzel had the only hit for Carson. Cole Salaices struck out four over 2 2/3 innings on the mound for Carson.

Northern California pushed across three runs in both the third inning and the fifth. Jordan Mayeda had an RBI single in the third for Northern Nevada.
