May 7, 1931 - July 22, 2014



 She attended Harmon School and graduated from Churchill County High School in 1949. May was one of three children, brother “Bud” and sister Lila (Guazzini), that were raised on the old Baumann homestead. The way to school was either walking or riding a horse, she became an excellent horsewoman during those years. In her high school years, she drove a school bus everyday back and forth to the schools. May married Remo Laca on May 25,1950. She was the farmer’s wife, helping out in every aspect of farm life. She worked at TCID until the birth of their first child. “Sis” or “Granny” was what she was called, had a love for all animals, starting with the horses she rode to school. Sis was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lorinda; husband, Remo; grandson, Ernie McNair. She is survived by her children, Ed Laca; Mickey and Elaine Laca; Andrea and Bill McNair and Marion and Jim Morgan all of Fallon; brother Bud (Sandra) Baumann; sister, Lila (Louie) Guazzini; grandchildren, Tom; Andy; Paul; Melissa; Jared; Sara; Scott; Stacey; Mallory; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A Celebration of May’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 11am at The Gardens Chapel. Interment to follow at Churchill County Cemetery.
