Commissioners meet Thursday at City Hall

The first County Commission meeting of June will be conducted Thursday at 8:15 a.m. at the City Council Chambers, 55 W. Williams Ave.

Early voting is being held in the Commission Chambers this week.

Among the items commissioners will discuss and that are up for possible action include the following:

Consideration and possible action regarding a presentation on activities and update from Joseph Seidlitz, district manager of the Winnemucca District Office of the Bureau of Land Management.

Consideration and possible action regarding acceptance of renewal proposal for NP AlP Insurance and approval of invoice for payment from FY 2014-2015 funds, Fred Rogne and Wayne Carlson.

Consideration and possible action regarding renewal of professional services contract with Mahannah and Associates LLC, Chris Mahannah.

Consideration and possible action regarding approval of pay tables for FY 2014-2015, Geof Stark, human resources director.

Consideration and possible action regarding report on the Library Repurpose Project, Carol E. Lloyd, library director.

Consideration and possible action regarding presentation and request for approval and funding support for the “Pioneer Comer Time Capsule project” at the Museum, Donna Cossette, museum administrator, Bob Getto and Skip Carrica, museum association members.

Consideration and possible action regarding selection of a person or firm to provide indigent legal services to Churchill County for a contract term of 17 months, beginning July 1, Eleanor Lockwood, county manager.

Consideration and possible action regarding the Churchill Animal Protection Society (CAPS) requests the fourth quarterly installment of $5,000 of the $20,000 allocated for FY 2013-2014.

Consideration and possible action regarding acknowledgement of recordation of a conservation easement on property owned by Carson Lake Livestock, LLC at 2424 & 2434 Testolin Road, Assessor’s Parcel Numbers 006-671-48 and 006-671-49, and authorization for issuance of TDR certificates to Churchill County.

Consideration and possible action regarding Parcel Map for APN: 006-831-34 owned by Sonya Johnson (TCID #14-004) located at 5755 Weaver Road.
