The Tahoe-Douglas Elks Lodge 2670 recently held its annual State Major Project “Safe Haven” dinner and fundraiser. Theme for the evening was “The USO”. Guest speaker, Lori Nichols from Child & Family Services, explained how donations from the Nevada State Elks are used to benefit each child who has to be removed from their home due to neglect and abuse. All Elk Lodges throughout Nevada contribute to “Safe Haven”. Pictured are Executive Ruler Russ Wailes, Lori Nichols, Child & Family Services and Foster Care representative and Toni Wendt, chairman.
