A Florida woman was killed Wednesday morning on U.S> Highway 50 in Churchill County.
A Florida woman died in a single vehicle rollover Wednesday morning near mile marker 63 in Churchill County.
The Nevada Highway Patrol said Mary Madsen, 75, of Mount Dora, Fla., was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the NHP, the accident occurred at about 10:15 a.m. Her husband, Leslie Madsen, 77, was driving a Buick SUV eastbound when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn.
Leslie Madsen received nonlife threatening injuries to his left arm and head, reports the NHP. He was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center via Care Flight. The NHP said he is fully cooperating with law enforcement officials on the accident investigation. Alcohol or controlled substances does not appear to be a factor related to the accident.
