Wave rallies to down Elko in 1-A football

The Fallon football team took control of the Northern Division I-A with a 25-14 win over Elko on Friday.

Greenwave quarterback Joe Pyle threw for 248 yards and three touchdowns as Fallon improves to 5-0 in league and 5-1 overall. Elko drops to 4-1 in league.

Trailing 14-0 in the second quarter, Pyle hit Connor Richardson for a 12-yard TD pass. Richardson and Jordan Schultz hauled in TD passes in the third quarter to give Fallon an 18-14 lead.

Nathan Heck iced the game with a 7-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.
