Brenda passed away peacefully after a seven month battle with cancer. Our family, friends and the community have lost an incredibly beautiful, caring and strong lady. She loved her career as a psychotherapist and helped countless people work through life’s challenges with a caring, empathic heart. When she knew she could no longer continue to see clients, closing her office was one of the hardest decisions she ever had to make. Brenda loved the ocean and enjoyed many trips to various tropical locations to scuba dive in the warm clear waters. This is where she could commune with the tropical fish and especially the turtles and dolphins. Brenda loved camping with her weenie dogs, and Frenchman Lake was her favorite place to go. Additionally, Brenda loved traveling to the Sierra foothills to visit the numerous fantastic wineries. Her smile and enthusiasm will be missed by the many wineries that she loved to visit. Brenda is survived by her husband Chuck Ritter, her son Russell Kizor and his wife Jenny, stepson David Ritter and his wife Jessica, stepdaughter Carrie Deleon and her husband Joe, along with granddaughters Camryn and Juliana. In support of Brenda, please make a donation to the Reno Cancer Society. A memorial for Brenda will be held in the near future.
