Cynthia Jean Sampson (Hennigar) left to be with Lord on Oct. 8, 2014. Cynthia was born in Melrose, Massachusetts on Sept. 25, 1940 to George and Sarah Hennigar. She graduated from Melrose High School, then attended Bridgewater State College, Bridgewater, Mass. She married John Sampson in 1962. She traveled with John, via the U.S. Air Force to Biloxi, Miss., England and Germany, before settling in Riverside, Ca. Cynthia volunteered with the Moreno Valley Unified School District, before becoming a Resource Specialist Aide, working with learning handicapped and special education students. After retirement, she moved to Yerington, NV. to live with family. Cynthia was a diehard New England sports fan, including the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics. She loved listening to all types of music and loved singing. She was a long time member of the March Air Force Base church choir. Cynthia loved having her son’s friends over for get-togethers. She was considered “Mom” by many of her son’s friends. Cynthia will always be remembered as a caring, outgoing and happy person, with an infectious smile. She will be missed by all. She is survived by her sons, John (Annette), Keith (Cindy) and Scott. Grandchildren, Matthew (Ashlee), Kelsey, Alexandria, Rayne and Emma. Cynthia also leaves behind numerous friends that were very special to her. Date and time for services to be determined. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the ASPCA.
