Early voting begins Saturday as Nevadans go to the polls to select federal, state and local candidates.

In Churchill County, the polls open Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Churchill County Administration’s Commission Chambers and continue through Oct.31.

The general election is Nov. 4 at the Fallon Convention Center. According to the clerk’s office, 12,240 residents have registered to vote.

On Wednesday, more than 200 people attended Candidates’ Night, which was sponsored by the Lahontan Valley News. Candidates for local offices and Assembly District 38 gave opening presentations and answered question from both the LVN and audience.

The Churchill County Clerk’s/Treasurer’s office mailed out sample ballots on Tuesday. If voters do not receive a sample ballot, they should call 775-423-6028, prompt 3.

Many candidates in Churchill County are running unopposed for the general election. The following is a list of candidates pertaining to Churchill County voters.
