Pigs do fly: Letter writer agrees with Muth
Honestly, I never expected to see this day above ground. I looked out my window this morning and saw three pigs flying across the sky, headed south for the winter. My mouth agape, I then saw the sky begin to fall in pieces across the landscape. Replacing the ether was not heaven, but hell. And guess what? It was frozen over. Indeed, strange days are upon us.
Alarmed, I ran to my Nevada Appeal to see what was up. Low and behold, there was yet another opinion screed by Chuck Muth gracing the local newspaper of record, ranting again on a topic with which he had taken issue. This Tea-Party-lover, gun-toting-citizen-supporter, inhumane-lethal-injection-rooter and Rhino-hating/liberal-bashing-gadfly, has never been one I looked to for intellectual support or direction, political or otherwise. Yet, there it was in black and white, a topic on which we agree. Yikes!
His opinion on the Congressional passage of the USA Freedom Act is oddly sane and sensible. The fact that the bill was originally co-sponsored by U.S. Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., sent chilling tremors down my über liberal spine. What’s next? Flying monkeys?
