Gov. Brian Sandoval joined Nevada National Guard soldiers and airmen Saturday morning for the third annual Remembrance Run to commemorate the lives of the four victims of the Sept. 6, 2011, shooting at the International House of Pancakes.

The run went from the parking lot at IHOP to the Nevada Guard’s Office of the Adjutant General complex on Fairview.

The run honored Nevada Guardsmen Lt. Col. Heath Kelly, 35, Master Sgt. Christian Riege, 38, and Sgt. 1st Class Miranda McElhiney, 31, along with civilian Florence Donovan-Gunderson, 67, who were killed. Seven other patrons were injured when 32-year-old Eduardo Sencion opened fire on the restaurant. He later killed himself.
