Adrian “Fox” Priester

Adrian “Fox” Priester passed away August 7, 2014 peacefully with his family by his side after a long battle of COPD. Fox was born November 27, 1930 in Van Hook North Dakota to Henry & Katerina Priester. After helping his father on the farm, he joined the United States Navy in 1951 and served his country aboard the USS Navarro during the Korean war. During his leave, he met the love of his life, Marlyne Ecklund, and they married in February, 1956 at the end of Fox’s Navy career. During that union came 5 children, Mary Lynn, Steven, Douglas, Kandy, and Kathy. He loved camping in his RV, gardening, and feeding his many wild animals. He also loved spending time with his grandkids, teaching them how to ride motorcycles, and to drive a car and tractor. It also meant a lot to him spending time with all of his family. He was very active in the VFW post 1944 becoming a commander and working with the boys unit. he also spent many years working with the Boy Scouts. He is survived by his wife, Marlyne of 58 years of Dayton, NV; son, Steven (Phyllis) of Dayton, NV; Kandy Mittlieder (Duane) of Cody, WY; Kathy Bandak of Long Beach, CA; brother Leroy of Dayton, NV; sister Laura Davis of OK; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Mary Lynn, son Douglas, sisters: Alice, Verna & Marvis, brothers: Fritz, Alvin, James, Donald, & Johnnie. At his request, there will be no services held and to be buried at sea.
