SPARKS — Reed scored on four straight possessions to start the game and never looked back on its way to a 56-12 homecoming victory against Douglas.

Matt Denn threw a 39-yard touchdown pass to Quinn Outland and then took a quarterback keeper 70 yards for another touchdown as Reed (4-2) surged to a 14-0 first quarter lead.

Down 42-0, the Tigers (1-4) put together their best drive of the season — 80 yards in 19 plays with no penalties — capped by Cale Kynett’s 4-yard touchdown run on a fourth-and-goal play.

Nick Abreu put the Tigers on the scoreboard again with a 90-yard kick return with 1:03 left to play. This was Abreu’s second scoring kick return in as many weeks.

Douglas received the opening kickoff and mounted an 11-play drive to Reed’s 32 before turning the ball over on Logan Marcantonio’s interception.
