Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Man arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

THURSDAY

At 11:21 a.m., deputies responded to a welfare check for a four-year-old child. At the scene they arrested Christine Rael, 19, of Carson City, on suspicion of child neglect, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies also arrested Joe Kendall, 26, of Carson City on suspicion of felony drug trafficking. Bail for Rael was set at $43,500. Bail for Kendall was set at $20,000.

At 5:38 p.m., an 18-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of petit larceny after deputies were called to the Market Street Walmart after a report of a male shoplifting electronics. Bail was set at $250.

At 8:20 p.m., a 50-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of a warrant charging DUI-first offense in the 700 block of Silver Oak Drive. Bail was set at $1,000.

At 10:51 p.m., Augustine Mangione, 25, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery-first offense, a misdemeanor, possession of a deadly weapon, a gross misdemeanor, and a contempt of court warrant after a report of domestic battery. Deputies responded and found Mangione, an ex-felon, was allegedly in possession of a taser. Bail was set at $5,743.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
