We, the staff and students of Carson Middle School, take great pleasure in publicly acknowledging and thanking the ladies and gentlemen who volunteered their time to help with our mock job interviews.
This year’s response from the community was overwhelming. Each eighth-grade student was able to be interviewed at least twice because of the number of volunteers we had. This exercise teaches our young people a great deal about adult communication and the interviewing process.
The students’ skills in verbal/nonverbal communication, spontaneous, higher order thinking, and dressing in proper business attire are all honed and practiced during this three-day event. Without the dedication and expertise of our volunteers, this lesson would not be possible. They deserve our greatest appreciation for contributing their time, talent, and energy to our school.
