Authorities say a 60-year-old inmate at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center for robbery and assault with a deadly weapon has died.

Nevada Department of Corrections said Daniel Brumbach died Wednesday at the prison’s Regional Medical Facility.

Agency officials say Brumbach had been in prison since July 25, 2007, and was serving consecutive sentences of up to 15 years for six counts of robbery and six counts for using a deadly weapon, as well as time for attempted robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

The agency says an autopsy will be conducted.
