Nevada Business Connection to meet in Carson City

Speakers at the Nevada Business Connections (NBC) breakfast meeting in Carson City on April 22 include Scott Kipper, Nevada insurance commissioner, and Ann Silver of JOIN, Inc. and ProNet.

Silver is executive director of the non-profit staffing services organizations and Kipper has served in the insurance arena in Louisiana, Wyoming and Oregon before Nevada. Before coming to JOIN, which serves 13 counties with free job preparation help and placement, Silver was in human resources and labor relations, as well as at other not-for-profit organizations.

NBC is a member organization for businesses and others who helps recruit manufacturing or other firms to Northern Nevada. It meets monthly, alternating between sites in Carson City and Reno. The April meeting at the Gold Dust West Carson City begins when the doors open at 7:30 a.m. The breakfast and program begins at 8 a.m. Cost is $25 for members, $35 for guests or prospective members.
