Lecture about American crime families planned in Carson City

Gangsters whose crime operations reached an apex in the Prohibition era will be the topic of Mike Thomas’ lecture at 7 p.m. Friday, April 10, at the Plaza Hotel and Event Center, 801 S. Carson St.

Thomas hosts lectures, most of which take place in the Sierra Room of the Plaza Hotel and Event Center, on the second Friday of the month. Appetizers are provided, and a no host bar is available.

Admission is $5 per person. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
