Games, live music, public safety agencies and more than 30 exhibitions will be on hand at the inaugural Children’s Day on the Comstock, an event focusing on the needs of young children and their families, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Miner’s Park in Virginia City.
The event will feature Smokey Bear and Sparky the Fire Dog, as well as representatives from Nevada Division of Forestry; Nevada Highway Patrol; Storey County Fire Department; Boy Scouts of America and more. Food, gardening activities and face painting will be available along with other activities and games.
