Tractor Supply Company, in partnership with National 4-H Council, is launching its annual Spring Paper Clover Campaign, in which funds are raised for 4-H youth development program activities.

Customers at Tractor Supply Company will have the opportunity to purchase paper clovers for $1 or more during checkout from April 22 to May 3. All funds raised stay in the communities.

The TSC 4-H Paper Clover Campaign has provided nearly $6.5 million to 4-H programs across the country in five years across 49 states. Last fall, the campaign raised $763,283 during the 10-day donation span. Funds support local camps, after-school programs and other activities, and grants scholarships to events so youth can explore interests in everything from animal science to robotics.

Tractor Supply Co. is at 2035 E. William St. in Carson City and 1645 Highway 88 in Minden. To reach the Carson store, call 775-841-6421. The Gardnerville store can be reached by calling 775-783-8675.

Carson Allstate agents honored for excellence

Allstate named two Carson City agency owners — Dave Smith, 194 W. Winnie Lane, and Bruce Bergantz, 111 E. Sixth St., Suite 1 — as this year’s Allstate Premier Agencies.

The Premier Agency designation honors agencies committed to delivering an accessible, knowledgeable and personal customer experience. The honor, presented to Allstate agency owners for outstanding business performance, is given to less than half of Allstate’s nearly 10,000 agency owners across the country.

Dave Smith can be reached at 775-883-0505. Bruce Bergantz can be reached at 775-884-4444.

Experts in creative economic development and workforce development will deliver keynote presentations, and eight tracks will provide in-depth looks at cornerstones of economic growth. Keynoters will include Don Macke and Deborah Markley, co-founders of the Center for Rural Entrepreneurship; Patrick McGaughey, a nationally known expert on win-win negotiations and building business-education partnerships; and Jason Broadwater, author of six books and an expert on creative community development.

Focus subjects in conference tracks will include access to capital, agri-business, economic vitality, energy, manufacturing, tourism, transportation and workforce development.
