Western Nevada College Student Veterans is hosting a 1.3-mile walk up College Parkway at 10 a.m. may 2 to honor veterans who have suffered and veterans who have committed suicide.
The walk will start at the intersection of N. Carson Street and West College Parkway and will finish at WNC’s main campus. Participants are asked to park and assemble in the parking area south of Bully’s, 3530 N. Carson St.
Signs with phrases supporting veterans, such as “We will fight with you” and “It takes the courage and strength of a warrior to ask for help” will be displayed along the way.
