Carson City Sheriff’s Office: Man arrested on suspicion of preventing a victim from calling 911 and domestic battery

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

Carson City

FRIDAY

At 12:48 a.m., Luis Mariscal, 21, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, warrant-petit larceny, warrant-contempt and warrant-failure to appear traffic. Bail was set at $6,795.

SATURDAY

At 3:53 a.m., a 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of DUI-second offense and failure to maintain a lane after deputies responded to reports of a reckless driver on Roop and Williams streets. Bail was set at $2,550.

At 6:03 p.m., Javier Martinez, 21, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony probation violation and petit larceny after deputies responded a call at the Market Street Walmart. Bail was set at $250.

At 7;48 p.m., a 44-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense, alcohol. Bail was set at $1,000.

SUNDAY

At 9:34 p.m., Juan Javier, 33, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony preventing/dissuading a victim/witness from reporting a crime and domestic battery-first offense. Bail was set at $8,000.

At 11:45 p.m., Gerardo Romero, 32, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of felony preventing/dissuading a victim/witness from reporting a crime and domestic battery- second offense. Bail was set at $10,000.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies and violent crimes. Carson City Secret Witness will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals committing crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call 775-322-4900.
