Joshua T. Morrison, a University of Tampa student from Fallon, has been named a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

Morrison will graduate in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Performance with a concentration in physiology and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. The son of Monte and Amy Morrison, he is a 2012 graduate of Churchill County High School.

At UT, Morrison is also a member of the Honors Program, the Honors Council, Sigma Delta Pi Spanish Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success. He spent a semester abroad in Spain and then served as a Spartans Abroad Ambassador. Morrison was a three-time Dean’s List honoree and a member of UT’s track and field team.

The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline honor society. Membership is by invitation only to the top 7.5 percent of second-semester juniors and the top 10 percent of seniors and graduate students. Its chapters are on more than 300 campuses in the United States, Puerto Rico and the Philippines. Each year, approximately 30,000 members are initiated.
