Pack softball prospect camp next month

Head coach Matt Meuchel and the Nevada softball program has announced dates for its annual prospect camp.

This year’s camp will take place on Sept. 19-20 at Hixson Park. Registration can be found here.

This softball education conducted by the Wolf Pack coaching staff is intended for high school and community college age players. The camp will offer a pro-style combine, evaluation games, instruction and a campus tour.

Campers will get a feel for what the Division I softball experience is like by using our facilities at Christina M. Hixson Field and interacting with our staff and current and former players.

The session on Sept. 19 runs from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the Sept. 20 session goes from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

“Our prospect camp has become an integral part of our recruiting process,” said Meuchel. “We designed our prospect camp as an opportunity for us to evaluate quality prospective student-athletes and we’ve identified players from whom we eventually received verbal commitments to play at Nevada. Join our coaching staff and players for this fun and educational camp experience.”

The individual camper registration fee is $200 per player. Important note: Please sign in and register the player’s name; a parent’s billing information and active email address will be required. Don’t forget to sign out after the registration process is complete.
