NHP Stuff the Cruiser
Help the Nevada Highway Patrol will fill the car with donations for our community’s homebound senior citizens. NHP troopers from the Fallon/Fernley district office and Walmart are teaming together for Cram the Cruiser event today from noon-7 p.m.
The senior center is also selling See’s Candy for Christmas and is taking orders. Candy will be available for pickup on Dec 15 at the center.
Non-perishable food items — canned fruits, vegetables, tuna, beans, etc.; paper goods; toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, paper plates; warm blankets, socks, gloves, scarves; electric Heating pads; household needs; Laundry soap, hand soap, dish soap, dish towels, sponges, light bulbs, batteries, cleaning supplies; magnifying products; especially lighted; small laundry baskets; fun things; large print crossword puzzles, word search; and of course any items to spoil or pamper them!
TREE LIGHTING
The annual Fallon City Hall and Douglass open houses are 4-7 p.m. on Friday as is the Christmas tree-lighting ceremony.
The open house will be followed by the tree lighting at 6 p.m. Retired State Sen. Mike McGinness will push the plunger to light the tree, which is followed by fireworks.
Musical groups will perform and children can visit Santa, give him their list and receive a candy cane. Members of the Masonic Lodge will hand out chocolate.
I.O. kids toy run
The sixth annual Iron Order Kids Fallon Toy Run — co-sponsored by the American Legion — is Saturday.
Registration starts at 9 a.m., and the run begins at 10:30 a.m., starting from Tu Brothers Motor Sports, 2040 Reno Highway.
Cost of entry is one new unwrapped toy per bike/vehicle.
Toy donations will be given to the Marine Corps High Desert Detachment for Toys for Tots and cash donations to the Fallon Youth Club.

Fallon Elks Craft Fair
Tables are being rented for $20 on Saturday in the Elks Hall for the Fallon Elks Craft Fair.

Join the Sagebrush Sisters Artist Coop for the annual Christmas Art and Crafts Boutique at the historic Old Post Office on Friday from 3-8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Middle school Christmas craft fair
Churchill County Middle School Christmas Craft Fair is Friday from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Admission is $1. The location is 650 S. Maine St.
LIGHTS OF CHRISTMAS
Lights of Christmas is Saturday from 9 a.m.- p.m. at 457 Esmeralda St. Tree auction is at 4 p.m.
Toys for Tots applications
Applications are being accepted for the 2015 Toys for Tots. Applications will close Saturday.

Christmas trees
The CCHS Track and Field Team is having its 14th annual Christmas tree fundraiser. Once again, they will have fresh cut, farm grown trees right from Oregon.
All Douglas firs up to 8 feet tall are $30. Noble firs up to 8 feet tall are $50. Larger trees are available for an extra charge. Sales will begin Saturday at 11 a.m. and will continue each weekend until the trees are gone.
(Last year the team sold out the first weekend.)
The lot will be located in the Valley Plaza Shopping Center in front of Louie’s Home Center. Local delivery is available, but supplies are limited so don’t wait and miss out.
