John Kennedy had an altercation last evening with a man named Eaton, from Como, and Eaton stabbed him so severely that he will probably die. After stabbing him, Eaton threw the knife into the street and walked off. Eaton is now lodged in jail.

Don’t say, “I told you so.” Two to one you never said a word about it. A grain of sand is not prominent in the desert. Don’t throw dust in your teacher’s eyes. It will only injure the pupil.

The Rambler, by Wes Davis. It is amusing to read some of the state political writers these days. Almost anyone who has in the past even so much as looked at a politician or visited a political office is having his name mentioned. In fact, there won’t be much authenticity on the breezes until February.
