The Carson City RCM Realty Group donated a truck load of food to the Share Your Christmas Food Drive at the Governor’s Mansion Friday.

The food drive was being held by Advocates to End Domestic Violence, F.I.S.H., and the Ron Wood Family Resource Center to collect food for families in need during the holidays.

A check of $5,001 was split between the three organizations. The portion given to the Ron Wood Center was given through the Savemart’s Give, Share, Care program, which matched dollar for dollar to give more than $3,000 to the Ron Wood Center. The other two received more than $1,600.

RCM agents also purchased more than $2,800 worth of groceries from Grocery Outlet for the drive, and brought the food to the Governor’s Mansion Friday afternoon.

“It feels good to be able to give over $9,000 back to the community and I’m very proud to work with everyone at RCM Realty Group,” said co-owner Heidi McFadden. “We hope this beats their goal of over 191,000 pounds donated.”
