Carson City Rockin’ Rev to feature sounds of Motown on radio program Saturday

Turn on and tune in to Reminiscing with the Rockin’ Rev from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday to hear the story of Hitsville, U.S.A., a small Detroit studio that claimed songwriters such as Holland-Dozier-Holland and Smokey Robinson. The home of Motown records also had some of the best studio musicians available, including Marv Tarplin and the Funk Bros.

Listeners will hear from the Temptations, The Four Tops, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, the Supremes, the Marvelettes, Martha and the Vandellas, Mary Wells, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Jr. Walker and the All-Stars, the Isley Brothers and the Jackson 5.
