Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for Jan. 7. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:

China Chef, 3135 E. Highway 50, scored 100 points.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, 3250 Retail Drive, Suite 100, 100 points.

Holiday Inn Express, 4055 N. Carson St., continental breakfast, 100 points.

McDonald’s, 3200 Market St., 92 points. The thermometer inside the sandwich make-up unit was broken. Unpasteurized raw eggs were stored on a middle shelf in the walk-in. The basins of the three-compartment sink were not properly set up. Dishes were stacked in the sanitizer basin instead of on the drain board. There was no measurable chlorine residual in any of the sanitizer cloth storage buckets. Two ice machines were dirty inside with biofilm buildup. Areas above the soda nozzles were not clean. The floor and floor sink were dirty under the three-compartment sink.

Taco Bell, 4539 N. Carson St., 100 points.

Arco ampm, 4340 N. Carson St., 92 points. There was no thermometer inside the two-door deli reach-in. Paper towels were not installed in a dispenser in the deli kitchen. The floor sink under the main ice machine was dirty. A certified food handler was not on site.

Pho Country, 2495 N. Carson St., 89 points. One baffle was missing from the grease hood. The can opener blade was dirty, corrected on site. Knives on the magnetic rack were dirty. Dish racks were stored on the floor. Floors throughout the kitchen were not clean, especially along the perimeter. The walls and ceiling throughout the kitchen were not clean, especially in the dish washing and food preparation area and in the dry food storage area. There was no screen door provided on the back door which was kept open for ventilation. There was no certified food handler on duty.
