Lisa Rogak, a journalist and author who’s working with Minden’s Jan Louch about the story of Baker and Taylor, two Scottish Fold cats, internationally famous in the 1980s and 90s as the mascots of the book wholesaler Baker & Taylor, wants to interview area residents who spent time with the cats during their stint at the Minden library.

Jan Louch, a retired librarian at the Douglas County Public Library and the cats’ unofficial caretaker, and Lisa Rogak have a contract to write “The True Tails of Baker and Taylor: The Library Cats Who Left Their Pawprints on a Small Town ... and The World” from St.

Martin’s Press; the book is scheduled to be published in time for Mother’s Day, 2016.

Rogak is asking anyone who knew the cats to email her at info@lisarogak.com.
