Carson City Sheriff’s Log: Man arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All are considered innocent until proven guilty in court.

FRIDAY

• At 10:13 a.m., Adrian Garcia-Montez, 21, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle. Deputies caught up with him after the vehicle’s owner followed the car on to Carson Street and College Parkway. Bail was set at $25,000 on the felony charge.

• At 2:47 p.m., David Hoesch Junior, 42, was charged with several counts after deputies responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon on Gordon Street. The handgun was on the passenger seat of Hoesch’s vehicle when he was stopped. According to the arrest report, a search of the vehicle turned up a small amount of marijuana in a glass pipe and what deputies believe is meth. He was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly pointing the weapon at some one, possessing a firearm while intoxicated, possession of meth, marijuana and paraphernalia. Total bail was set at $25,100.

• At 5:07 p.m., two men were arrested following a traffic stop on College Drive for a broken brake light. A 21-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of paraphernalia — a marijuana pipe. Both were arrested on suspicion of violating probation/contempt for using drugs and/or alcohol. Bail was set at $4,000 for one of the two and $3,000 for the other.

• At 10:35 p.m., a 40—year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession DUI-first offense after a traffic stop at Thompson and Ridge for an expired license plate. He also was charged with having an open container in the car and the expired registration. Total bail was $1,125.

• At 10:51 p.m., Augustin Arroy, 24, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a meth after a deputy asked for his ID while he was gambling in the Comstock Casino. He was ordered held in lieu of $2,500 bail.

SATURDAY

• At 10:55 a.m., three Californians were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery after an incident on Woodside Drive. Joseph Moore, Jamal Temp and Tashawn Sharp were all charged with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of stolen property. Moore and Kemp also were charged as ex-felons in possession of firearms. Moore’s bail was set at $216,000, Temp’s at $215,000 and Sharp’s at $195,000.

SUNDAY

• At 1:04 a.m., a couple were arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after deputies were called to the Roadway Inn on Carson Street. He also was charged as an ex-felon failing to register. Bail for each was set at $3,000.

• At 3:07 a.m., a 22-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense following a traffic stop on Menlo Drive and Green Court for driving down the middle of the roadway. She was held in lieu of $1,000 bail.

• At 1:16 p.m., a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery-first offense after a witness reported seeing him holding the female victim down at an apartment on North Edmonds Drive. Bail was set at $3,000.

• At 2:37 p.m., a 28-year-old was arrested on suspicion of reckless endangerment after witnesses reported seeing him shooting a firearm out the window of the Carson City Inn. He reportedly admitted shooting a BB gun form the window at a street sign despite the fact there were cars and pedestrians in the vicinity. He also was charged with violating alternative sentencing conditions and held in lieu of $3,000 bail.

• At 10:04 p.m., a 20-year-old was arrested on suspicion of reckless driving after deputies were called to Country Club Drive for a vehicle driving at high speed in a circle. Bail was set at $500.

MONDAY

• At 3:20 a.m., a 25-year-old industrial worker was arrested on suspicion of DUI-first offense after a traffic stop at Fifth Street and Saliman Road for a suspended registration. He was also charged with no proof of insurance, suspended registration and an open container in the vehicle. Total bail was set at $1,760.
