The U.S. Geological Survey and the seismological lab at University of Nevada, Reno, reported a 2.2 earthquake located about 3 miles west-south-west of Carson City. The report registered at 5:55 p.m. Thursday.
Railroad group hosting open house Feb. 26
The Carson City Railroad Association is holding an open house to showcase its HO scale model train layout at 7 p.m. Feb. 26 at Mills Park Station.
Attendees are invited to run trains and bring their own HO equipment to run. Members of the club will be on hand to help set up, and refreshments will be provided.
